Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop

Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop (MSC) is an empirically-supported training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. Based on the groundbreaking research of Kristin Neff, PhD. and the clinical expertise of Christopher K. Germer, PhD., MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding.

This 3-hour workshop will introduce you to the main components of MSC, the clinical research and theory supporting the curriculum, and practices to help you incorporate these components into your life and work.

Rapidly expanding research demonstrates that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, less anxiety, depression and stress, maintenance of healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and satisfying personal relationships. And it’s easier than you think. If you’re tired of beating yourself up and you want to take an adventure into something new, Mindful Self-Compassion just might be what you’ve been looking for.

Yoga Nidra

Yogic Sleep” This 45 minute guided Tantric meditation, practiced lying down, facilitates deep relaxation and transformation. Yoga Nidra is an effortless meditation that teaches the body, the mind and the emotions to fully let go, allowing the parasympathetic nervous system to kick in and reminding us what deep relaxation truly feels like. This is a systematic practice designed to slow down the brain waves and bring about a hypna-yogic state of consciousness. It is within this non-doing state, that deep healing and recovery occurs, personal intentions are worked with, and true inner transformation is possible. Many of my clients have chronic illnesses or live with chronic pain and are unable to sit and meditate but they can lie down and easily do this practice. Beyond the amazing healing and recovery applications, Yoga Nidra is also great for day-to-day stress management, sleep issues, PTSD, depression, anxiety/burnout, or for anyone who simply needs a break!

Mindful Self-Compassion is about learning to give ourselves the same kindness and care that we would a dear friend. Unfortunately, for most of us, this is much easier said than done! That’s because we have lifelong habits of beating ourselves up, pushing through difficulty or avoiding it altogether. That’s called resistance and much of our resistance is unconscious.

Mindful Self Compassion teaches us to create new habits of responding in supportive ways to our suffering, especially when we notice things about ourselves we don’t like, or we are making mistakes, or having a difficult time.

Mindfulness Practices

These are meditation classes and workshops that teach you about Mindfulness and then expand to include the heart-mind qualities of Joy, Loving Kindness, Compassion, and Equanimity. As a Mindfulness teacher, Lauree can teach you how to meditate with a mindful anchor, and then guide you to incorporating these heart qualities into your practice.

Mindfulness is a practice as well as a trait that helps us to become more skillful and compassionate in our daily lives. These tools for living take us from a place of reactivity to responsiveness. They give us an understanding and expansive view of our shared humanity and our innate inner goodness.

Learn To Meditate

Have you ever wanted to learn to meditate but did not know where to begin? Did you sit down, close your eyes and find that a racing mind wouldn’t allow you to focus on anything?

I am a recovering Type A Accomplishment Junkie and I hear you! If I can learn to meditate than so can you!! In fact, I will teach you mindfulness and Tantric techniques to give you tools that will help you build your own meditation practice.
